The Pusher
Releasing the cone cleanly, no workarounds needed: the Pusher pushes it from below, and lifts it out.
What it's for
The Pusher solves a real puzzle: the Roller rolls so cleanly that the cone comes out perfectly wedged between the four bottom rods — no grip, impossible to grab. On the Original, there's a trick for it, shown in the animation: turn a gear screw a quarter turn to free the cone through one rod. It works, but it's a workaround.
So I invented a complete, effective solution — with a bit more style too: a system that pushes the cone from below, on the tip side, and lifts it out. Like the Support Clamp, it's a combination of four parts — plus a spring, which always pushes the Pusher back out and returns the system to its resting position, so it never gets in the way of the rods turning. Close to two months of research, dozens of trials — the part traveled all around the Roller before finding its place.
How to use it
To see it in action: in the Roller animation on the home page — press the button and watch the four bottom rods react — and above all in the see-through scene of the King Size animation, on the How It Works page: pressure from below curves the flexible rods upward, and the wedged cone simply pops out.
