Terms & Conditions of Sale
Version 1.0 · applicable from the opening of preorders
Mathieu Cedelle, sole trader (auto-entrepreneur) · SIRET 837 486 141 00034 · 4 rue du Maréchal Foch, 10300 Sainte-Savine, France · contact@labattebyddo.com
Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (the "T&C", in French "CGV") govern all contractual relations between Mathieu Cedelle, hereinafter referred to as "the Seller", and any natural or legal person, hereinafter referred to as "the Buyer", making a purchase or a preorder on the website labattebyddo.com.
The products sold are precision craft tools patented at the INPI (the French national industrial property office) (patent FR2606195, filed on 11 May 2026), intended for the manual preparation of cones for legal botanical substances (aromatic herbs, teas, botanical blends).
Any order implies full and unreserved acceptance of these T&C, which prevail over any other document.
Article 2 — Preorder model (Collector launch edition)
2.1 Nature of the preorder
The opening campaign, known as the "Collector launch edition", covers 1,000 numbered boxes. The Buyer acknowledges and accepts that this is a preorder: payment is collected at the time of order, but delivery takes place after the end of the preorder campaign, according to the production schedule set out in Article 5.
2.2 Collector launch edition prices

The launch prices constitute an exceptional campaign discount, valid only during the preorder period and until the 1,000 numbered boxes are reached.
2.3 Conditions triggering production
Production is triggered regardless of the number of preorders: the campaign is subject to no cancellation.
The preorder campaign lasts 1 month from the opening of orders.
The Seller then devotes approximately 1 month to the receipt and installation of the production machines, followed by 2 months of production. The exact number of units ordered is manufactured.
The first box is shipped from the first week of production; the last one, 2 months afterwards at the latest. Shipments take place twice a week, in order of purchase.
Consequently, the last box is delivered 4 months at the latest from the launch of the campaign (1 month of campaign + 1 month of machine installation + 2 months of production). These durations constitute a ceiling; delivery may take place sooner.
Article 3 — Order and acceptance
3.1 Ordering process
The Buyer selects their products on the website
They confirm their cart
They complete their delivery and billing information
They choose their payment method (bank card via Viva Wallet)
The Seller reserves the right to refuse any order on legitimate grounds (in particular in the event of suspected fraud, previous non-payment, or disproportionate quantities). In the event of refusal, the Buyer is fully refunded within 7 days.
3.3 Availability
The products are sold subject to available stock. The limited editions (Made in France, Onyx, Prestige collections) are offered only during this launch campaign and are not renewed.
Article 4 — Prices and taxes
The prices shown are in euros, tax included (VAT not applicable owing to the sole-trader (auto-entrepreneur) scheme, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI)).
Delivery charges — zones served: European Union, Switzerland, United States, Canada. The exact charges are displayed before payment is confirmed, according to the destination:
Mainland France: €6.90 (Colissimo), free from €80 of purchases delivered within mainland France.
European Union (excluding France): shipping charges at the actual rate, displayed before payment; no customs duties (free movement within the EU).
Switzerland (outside the EU): shipping charges at the actual rate; Swiss VAT (8.1%) and customs-clearance fees are payable by the recipient.
United States: delivery on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis; the customs duties, federal or state taxes and customs-clearance fees (approximately 15% of the value) are payable by the Buyer, paid to the carrier on delivery. Sale and delivery are not offered in the following states: Idaho, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Utah, Indiana.
Canada: delivery on a DAP basis; zero customs duties (CETA agreement), but the local taxes (GST/HST) and customs-clearance fees are payable by the recipient.
For any order delivered outside mainland France, any taxes, customs duties and local charges are payable by the Buyer, independently of the Seller (DAP model: charges and taxes at destination). The breakdown of shipping charges is always displayed before payment is confirmed; the customs duties and taxes, set by the authorities of the destination country, are paid separately by the Buyer, generally to the carrier upon delivery.
Article 5 — Delivery
5.1 Schedule
Delivery takes place after the close of the preorder campaign, the receipt and installation of the machines, and then the effective start of production. Public commitment of the Seller:
First box shipped: from the first week of production
Last box shipped: 2 months at the latest after the start of production
Total time frame: the last box is delivered at the latest 4 months from the launch of the campaign (1 month of campaign + 1 month of receipt and installation of the machines + 2 months of production). These time frames constitute a ceiling; delivery may take place sooner.
Shipments take place twice a week during production, in order of purchase.
The Buyer will receive an email notification at each stage (order, start of production, shipment, delivery).
These time frames constitute a good-faith commitment together with a contingency margin of ± 30 days linked to the artisanal nature of the production. In the event of a delay exceeding 60 days relative to the maximum time frame announced, the Buyer is informed by email and may, in accordance with Article L216-2 of the French Consumer Code, either maintain their order, or terminate the sale and be fully refunded within 14 days.
By way of illustration for the current campaign: preorder from 1 to 31 July 2026; installation and preparation in August 2026; production at the workshop (Troyes) from September 2026; shipment in waves — the first 100 boxes ("gift for the first 100") as a priority from September 2026, boxes 101 to 500 between late September and mid-October, boxes 501 to 1,000 between mid-October and late October 2026. No box will be shipped after 30 November 2026, save for a duly notified event of force majeure.

European Union (excluding France), Switzerland: Colissimo International (tracking included)
United States: Colissimo International relayed by FedEx (DAP basis, tracking included)

6.3 Refund
The refund is made within 14 days of receipt of the returned product, by the same means of payment as that used for the order.
6.4 Campaign commitment
The campaign is subject to no cancellation: regardless of the number of preorders, production is launched and the exact number of units ordered is manufactured and delivered. The 14-day right of withdrawal remains applicable in all cases.
Article 7 — Warranty

An electronic invoice is sent to the Buyer by email after each order.
Article 9 — "Crystal Batte" and "Premium Station No. 1" prize draws
9.1 Principle
During the collector launch campaign, each box purchased gives the right to 1 chance to win the Crystal Batte, a one-of-a-kind example made specifically for this purpose. Premium Station No. 1 (its very first example) is offered as a prize under exactly the same rule — 1 chance per box, independent draw; only the prize and the date of handover differ.
9.2 Terms
1 box purchased = 1 ticket
N boxes purchased = N tickets
The draw is triggered as soon as the 1,000 reserved boxes are reached or, failing that, at the close of the campaign (on 31 July 2026) — subject to at least 500 preorders — after the effective receipt of the funds by the Seller.
The draw is carried out randomly and transparently; the organizer attests to its fairness on their honor; for the one-of-a-kind prizes (Crystal Batte, Premium Station No. 1), a reinforced procedure applies (see Rules, Article 8.2). The full rules are available on the page It's a Gift!.
9.3 Notification of the winner
The winner is contacted by email within the 7 days following the draw. The Crystal Batte is delivered to them free of charge with their box. Their consent to the publication of their first name and photo (optional) will be required before any public communication.
Article 10 — Intellectual property
The invention being sold is protected by INPI patent FR2606195, filed on 11 May 2026. The trademark "La Batte by DdO" is registered with the EUIPO (the European Union Intellectual Property Office).
Any reproduction, counterfeiting, or unauthorized use of the protected elements is strictly prohibited and will be subject to prosecution.
Article 11 — Conditions of use of the product
The product is a precision craft tool intended exclusively for the manual preparation of cones for legal substances (botanical substances — aromatic herbs, teas, botanical blends).
The Buyer undertakes to use the product in strict compliance with the applicable French and European regulations in force. The Seller cannot be held liable for any non-compliant use of the product.
The Buyer must be of legal age (18 years or older) — or an emancipated minor — and have full legal capacity at the time of the order. For any delivery to the United States, the Buyer must be 21 years of age or older; in Canada, 19 years or older (depending on the province). The Buyer warrants that they comply with the legal age and the regulations applicable in their country and region of residence; the sale is not offered where the product cannot be legally marketed.
In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR), a safety notice (manufacturer's identity, materials, warnings, care) accompanies each box and can be consulted online: notice.html. Any serious incident related to the product may be reported to the manufacturer at contact@labattebyddo.com.
Article 12 — Liability
12.1 Limitation of liability
The Seller's liability is exercised within the limits authorized by the mandatory legal provisions of public policy (ordre public). The Seller cannot be held liable for indirect damages resulting from the use or the inability to use the product.
12.2 Force majeure
The Seller cannot be held liable for the non-performance or delay in the performance of an obligation resulting from an event of force majeure (in particular: pandemic, carrier strike, major breakdown of production equipment, filament-supplier failure).
Article 13 — Personal data
The processing of the Buyer's personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy (GDPR) available on the GDPR page.
Article 14 — Customer service
For any question, complaint or request, the Buyer may contact customer service:
Postal address: Mathieu Cedelle, 4 rue du Maréchal Foch, 10300 Sainte-Savine, France
Response guaranteed within 48 business hours.
Article 15 — Governing law and jurisdiction
These T&C are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, the Buyer undertakes to seek an amicable solution with the Seller as a priority. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts.
In accordance with Articles L612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the consumer Buyer has the right to make free use of a consumer mediator with a view to the amicable resolution of any dispute they may have with the Seller, provided they have first attempted to resolve it directly by way of a written complaint. The Seller has appointed CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice (CECMC accreditation no. W751237320): 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris — litiges@cm2c.net — www.cm2c.net (report a dispute: cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige).
Article 16 — Amendment of the T&C
The Seller reserves the right to amend these T&C at any time. The applicable T&C are those in force on the date of the order.
